Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs the Board is introducing self-sealing through an application of technology in the form of exporters using RFID e-seals. The self-sealing procedure had been laid down by the Board vide circular 26/2017-Cus dated 1st July 2017, per which the procedure applies only to cargo in full container load, sealed at an approved premise, by an entitled exporter. The Government had mandated the units and AEOs to use RFID e-seals.
We have the CBIC (CBEC earlier) approved RFID container seals which are also known as RFID tamperproof one time bolt seals for containers.
